Visitors can nourish their bodies and minds as Beaver Creek Resort Properties partners with dish restaurant in Edwards, CO, to offer unique cooking classes using fresh, certified organic ingredients. Combined with invigorating activities, such as yoga, hiking and more, the culinary packages provide an experiential – and fun – getaway option.
Spago, the flagship restaurant of master chef Wolfgang Puck and the Wolfgang Puck Fine Dining Group, opened at The Ritz-Carlton, Bachelor Gulch in December 2007. The 4,400 square foot, 126-seat restaurant offers Spago’s classics as well as new signature dishes locally inspired by the surrounding environment.
A post-golf lunch at one of Red Sky Golf Club’s two eateries, Silver Sage and Summer Thyme, becomes a bit more decadent with Executive Chef Tim McCaw of Beaver Creek Resort’s Zach’s Cabin at the helm. Both restaurants serve all natural meats and organic dairy products as part of Vail Resorts’ Appetite for Life initiative.
Spruce Saddle Lodge
Take a scenic chairlift ride or hike to the outdoor grill at Spruce Saddle, where a refreshing menu of roasted portabello mushroom burgers, gourmet hamburgers, chicken sandwiches, grilled veggie sandwiches awaits hungry guests. Picnic table seating and a large deck offers breathtaking views of the Gore Range and Back Bowls of Vail. Spruce Saddle is located at the top of the Centennial Express Lift (#6). Free activities include frisbee golf and volleyball. Spruce is open for lunch daily from 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m. throughout most of the summer.
Beano's Cabin
Saddle up and enjoy a scenic horseback ride through the aspens to Beano's Cabin, nestled high upon the mountain. This rustic log-style cabin offers award-winning Colorado fare such as Colorado rack of lamb in minted sherry vinegar glace and trout. Horse-shy guests can reach the cabin via a tractor-pulled wagon or van. Beano's Cabin™ is open to the public for dinner only with a fixed-price, five-course menu; live entertainment is included. Special children's seating and three-course menu are available. Beano's is a recipient of the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence, DiRoNA award, AAA Four Diamond Awards and has earned top marks in the Zagat Survey. Splendido at The Chateau
This contemporary American restaurant is situated in a European chateau setting high on Beaver Creek's western hillside. The seasonal menu evolves to incorporate indigenous ingredients such as wild nettles, porcini mushrooms and watercress into signature entrees: Colorado rack of lamb with rosemary-olive jus and sheep's milk cheese soufflé, and wood oven-roasted grilled elk loin with braised elk ossobuco. Allie's Cabin
This intimate pine cabin is open during the summer for weddings, group gatherings and special events. With its cathedral ceilings and cozy river rock fireplace, the cabin sits in a grove of aspen on the mountain and boasts views of the entire village from a large outdoor deck. Zach's Cabin
A new addition of fine dining in Beaver Creek, Zach's Cabin is located on the mountain between Arrowhead and Bachelor Gulch Villages. Similar in concept to Allie's and Beano's Cabins, this 13,000-square-foot cabin is situated in a grove of aspen trees. Incredible views of the Gore Range, vaulted ceilings, and a large outdoor deck all help to make Zach's Cabin the perfect setting for weddings and private group gatherings. Zach's Cabin is named for Zach Allen, father of Beaver Creek's first female resident, Allie Townsend (for whom Allie's Cabin is named).
