Blues, Brews, & BBQ Festival

May 24-25, 2008

Enjoy barbecue favorites prepared by world-renowned restaurants visiting from the country’s BBQ hot spots. Don’t miss kids’ activities, cooking demonstrations and free concerts from Marsha Ball, Marc Broussard and Donna Jean and the Tricksters.  The Park Hyatt Resort & Spa, Beaver Creek will host the largest exclusively Colorado Microbrewery Beer Tasting in the state, featuring over 100 special concoctions from 35 Colorado-based breweries.

Beaver Creek Rodeo Series at Traer Creek

June 12, 19, 26; July 3, 10, 17, 24; August 7, 14, 21

The Beaver Creek Rodeo offers classic events like Mutton Bustin', Team Roping and Bull Riding. Enjoy pony rides, a petting zoo, shopping and an authentic Western BBQ and Saloon. Bring the whole family - kids 12 & under get in free!

La Sportiva Summer Solstice Trail Run

June 21

Kick off the summer with a 5k or 10k trail running race starting at 6:30pm benefiting the Vail Valley Charitable Fund. Don’t forget the free kids fun run at 6pm.

 

Culinary Demonstration Series

June 27, 28; 5, 11, 12, 18, 19, 25, 26, 27; August 2, 3, 8, 9, 15, 16, 22, 23, 29, 30, 31

Learn and taste from your favorite Beaver Creek chefs in the outdoor state-of -the-art Bon Appetit kitchen on Beaver Creek plaza. Free admission and tastings. Fridays and Saturday afternoons throughout the summer at 5pm (different times for festival weekends).

Rocky Mountain Antique Festival

July 25-27

Beaver Creek Village Plaza will be filled with rare and interesting antiques for an entire midsummer weekend. Meet the finest antique vendors from around the United States and shop for furniture, rugs, silver, dishes, artwork, jewelry, glassware, and more. Also, enjoy culinary demonstrations and kids activities.

Beaver Creek Art Festival

August 2-3

Over 150 artists converge on Beaver Creek Village with an array of artwork will be on display – including watercolors, oil & acrylic paintings, woodworking, glass, sculptures, furniture, mosaics, ceramics, and jewelry. Take advantage of the unique opportunity to meet each exhibiting artist in person.

 

Beaver Creek Wine & Spirits Festival

August 7-9

Featuring culinary talents of world class celebrity chefs and the winners of the San Francisco International Wine Competition and the San Francisco World Spirits Competition.  Enjoy a full schedule of wine and spirits tastings, seminars and winemaker dinners. Also, don’t miss outdoor events like “Walk and Wine” and “Fly Fish Eat Fish”. New this year, the Vail Valley Wine Auction is part of the Wine & Spirits Festival!

 

Beaver Creek XTERRA

August 9

Swim, mountain bike and run starting in Avon’s Nottingham Lake, and finishing in Beaver Creek. The XTERRA is open to all ability levels, with individual and team categories, and a free kids duathlon at Beaver Creek.

 

Vertical Ascent Running Race

August 23

This six-hour trail running race offers team or individual categories. Run or hike up Beaver Creek mountain, then ride the chairlift down, completing as many laps as possible within six hours.

 

Beaver Creek Oktoberfest

August 30-31

Oktoberfest returns to Beaver Creek oom-pah-pah music, beer, brats and more! Groove to the Helmut Fricker Band, “Trachtenkappelle,” a visiting band from Beaver Creek’s Sister Resort, Lech-Zurs  and two free concerts from the infamous cover band, the LA Allstars.

 

Oktoberfest Shuffle

August 30

Walk, hike or run a 5 or 10k on the scenic Beaver Creek Mountain. All proceeds will benefit the Shaw Regional Cancer Center.

 

Trans Rockies Trail Run

August 30

200 teams of two will run 125 miles in six days through the picturesque Rocky Mountains, finishing in Beaver Creek.
