Victorian Holidays Celebration December 1-31, 2008 Breckenridge’s Victorian holiday season charms all ages with strolling carolers, shopping on Main Street, visits from Santa and kids’ activities throughout the month. Lighting of Breckenridge December 6, 2008 Breckenridge kicks off its holiday season with the annual lighting of the town tree, which brings together guests and locals every year to rejoice in true holiday spirit.
HartfordDisabled Sports Ski Spectacular December 7-14, 2008 In it’s 21st year, the Hartford returns to Breckenridge as the nation’s largest winter sports festival for people with physical disabilities. The weeklong event includes learn-to-ski and race programs, youth development camps, sanctioned USSA races and corporate race. The event is conducted by Disabled Sports USA (DS/USA) a provider of sports rehabilitation programs to anyone with permanent disabilities since 1967. www.dsusa.org
Girl’s Only Beginner’s Snow Camp December 13, 2008 This one-day camp is open to never-ever and novice females that want to learn to snowboard or ski. Finish off the day with a Cocoa & Cookies Party. Price includes lunch. Space is limited. Ages 7 through adult.
AST Winter Dew Tour December 18-21, 2008 FreewayTerrain Park, Peak 8 Mark your calendar as the inaugural AST Winter Dew Tour comes to Breck for its 1st event ever with Halfpipe and Slopestyle competitions! Come check out the likes of Hannah Teter, Simon Dumont and the greatest in the world of Winter Sports as they throw down in their quest to become Dew Cup Champions. Make it official December 18-21.

Ullr Fest January 4-9, 2009 This weeklong celebration of Ullr (pronounced Ooh-ler), the mythical Norse God of Winter, brings the legendary Main Street parade, live entertainment and bar series, the Ullr Dating Game, a Nordic event, Ullympics and an ice skating party to Breckenridge.
Budweiser International Snow Sculpture Championships January 20-25, 2009 Blue River Plaza/Riverwalk Plaza Each year, teams from around the globe descend on Breckenridge to hand carve 20-ton blocks of snow into beautiful works of art. Please join us for the 19th year of the Budweiser International Snow Sculpture Championships. Sculptors will begin sculpting on Tuesday, January 20, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. and will finish sculpting on Saturday, January 24, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. NEW IN 2009- The awards ceremony will be on Sunday, January 25. Women’s Ski Camp January 27-30, 2009 Get out of your world and in to ours. Breckenridge’s best female instructors will both encourage and teach you to ski terrain appropriate for your skill and comfort level. The camp gets started with a Welcome Reception the evening of January 26th followed by four full days on snow. Then, hit the slopes with your group for a supportive, fun day of instruction. Afterwards join us for a treatment at one of the local spas. Video analysis is included. Open to novice through advanced skiers. North American Open featuring Jon Olsson and Simon Dumont January 30- February 1, 2009 FreewayTerrain Park, Peak 8 With an industry desire to restore a true open event to glory, Jon Olsson and Simon Dumont are bringing back the North American Freeski Open to Breckenridge for the 2nd year in a row. With Jon and Simon conjuring up a new format designed for fairness and creativity, the NAO will play host to Halfpipe and Slopestyle competitions for three days. With a strong prize purse, the competition should be fierce! Registration is open at www.opensfreeski.com.
February 5-6, 2009 Life - and better skiing - begins at 50! Spend the best part of your life enjoying the best the slopes have to offer with the Breckenridge Prime Time program. Prime time participants, all 50+ in age, gather to enjoy the beauty of Breckenridge, skiing the slopes and the company of friends new and old. For two days they benefit from on hill instruction and have fun at off hill gatherings. Video analysis is included, as well as a complimentary dinner. Prime Time is available for intermediate and above level skiers.
Women’s Park & Pipe Snow Camp February 7-8, 2009 Join us for our popular women’s only, two-day park and pipe camp. The camp is open to any intermediate and advanced snowboarder or skier who wants to develop her skills in the terrain park and half-pipe. Participants with freestyle experience from beginner through advanced levels will not be disappointed. Camp includes two full days of instruction with Breck’s top certified female coaches, small class sizes, lunch, and a party. Ages 13 through adult.
Mardi Gras Celebration February 21-24, 2009 Kick-off Mardi Gras with a New Orleans Style Masquerade Ball at 9,600 Feet! On February 2nd, join us for the second annual Breckenridge Bacchus Ball! The evening will feature live music from Tiny Barge and the Big Chill, dancing, New Orleans-style food and drink, the crowning of the 2009 Breckenridge Rex and Queen and much more. Then on Fat Tuesday, February 24th, Downtown Breckenridge will come alive with a festive parade procession down Main Street, live music and dancing at local establishments, New Orleans food and drink specials, colorful masks and loads of beads! The procession will start at 4:30 p.m. at the South end of town and head North on Main Street to Lincoln/Ski Hill.
Working Women’s Ski Camp March 6-7, 2009 Play hooky for two days and join the ladies for a special getaway. Spend two full days on the slopes as you advance your skiing techniques and learn in this supportive, female-only environment. Unwind after skiing with fellow participants or simply spend the evening enjoying your time alone. The camp gets started with a Welcome Reception the evening of February 28th. Open to intermediate through advanced skiers.
Rocky Mountain Park & Pipe Camp March 7-8, 2009 Drop into the pipe. Max out your air. Clear more advanced rails and boxes. Whatever your goals, the Rocky Mountain Park & Pipe Camp is sure to provide you the skills and park time to get you there. Breckenridge has four parks and pipes to match your abilities. The most advanced park and pipe, Freeway, is one of the most highly rated and well-known terrain parks in the country! Our top certified pros are eagerly awaiting the opportunity to coach you in this unique, fun, supportive, two-day camp. The camp is open to intermediate to advanced all-mountain skiers and riders. No prior park or pipe experience necessary. Groups will be formed based on goals and abilities. Two age divisions: ages 7-12; 13 and above. Lunch on the mountain is included each day. Space is limited.
Kombi – J4/J5 March 28-29, 2009 American, Peak 9 Breckenridge will host the 2nd ever KOMBI race held in the Rocky Mountain division. The Kombi is not an official discipline, but an exciting combination of slalom and giant slalom. Come join the fun on American located on Peak 9. Volunteers welcome and encouraged, please contact teamsummit.org.
Spring Massive April 1-19, 2009 This annual festival is an interactive event including music, family fun and on-hill competitions. Events include the Bite of Breckenridge, Massive Comedy Nights, Massive Brewfest, Massive competition weekend and the ever-popular season finale – Massive Music Weekend!
Surefoot Colorado Ski Cup Championships April 3-4, 2009 - GS April 7-8, 2009 – SG Cimarron, Peak 10 The International Ski Federation's Rocky Mountain Trophy Series features high ranking national and international competitors racing slalom and giant slalom. This late season event is a great opportunity for our younger athletes to score valuable points against national development athletes. For more information contact Quantum Sports Club.org
