Nov. 21: Opening Day for Vail’s 45th season.
December 2007
Dec. 3-9: Vail Snow Daze: Kick off Vail's 45th season and celebrate the start of winter. On Dec. 6 Ziggy Marley will perform at the Dobson Arena, followed by Social Distortion on Dec. 7. Ludacris and The Roots take center stage Dec. 8 for an outdoor concert at Ford Park. Dec. 19: Street Beat Concert Series. The inaugural 2007-2008 Street Beat Series concert will start at 6pm at Checkpoint Charlie in Vail Village. Jan. 4 - 6: Burton Super Demo Tour: Start off the New Year with the opportunity to test out the newest riding gear! The Burton Super Demo Tour is coming to Vail this winter as part of its ten-stop interactive and entertaining demo extravaganza. The three-day event will include giveaways, interactive booths and tents from Burton and their several partners, and nighttime activities. Look out for more information at www.vail.com.

Jan. 19 - 25: National Safety Awareness Week. Vail Mountain will host a series of events during National Safety Awareness Week highlighting its commitment to slope safety for all guests and employees. New this year, Vail will focus on its “Play It Safe” campaign with heightened Vail Ski Patrol and Yellow Jacket presence on the slopes, posted reminders to our guests to take it easy and control their speed on all mountain terrain, and emphasized skier and rider courtesy on all mountain terrain. The “Play It Safe” campaign also advises guests that common sense and personal awareness on the slopes significantly reduce elements of risk in skiing and riding.
Safety Week will include a calendar of activities specially designed to raise guest awareness about various personal measures that can help protect everyone on the mountain. Activities at Vail will emphasize the seven points of Your Responsibility Code and skiers and riders are invited to participate in the many on and off-mountain events. The calendar of events includes: Vail Yellow Jacket Safety Fair, Hot Chocolate with Vail Ski Patrol, Vail Ski Patrol open house, a sweep with Vail Ski Patrol, Free Adult Ski Tips, Flight for Life Helicopter Viewing, Vail Slope Maintenance Snow Cat, Take Care of Your Body Presented by the Howard Head Sports Medicine Clinic, Vail Snowboard School Terrain Park Etiquette, High Angle Rescue Training viewing, and a Beacon Basin Challenge.

March 26-30: American Ski Classic. Skiing legends, entertainment celebrities and corporate America join together on the slopes of Vail Mountain during the Countrywide American Ski Classic. This event combines the thrill of both professional and amateur ski racing with an array of entertainment options for fans of all ages. In its 24th year, the American Ski Classic is the oldest and largest skiing competition and festival of its kind in North America. April 7-13: Spring Back to Vail. In honor and loving memory of Vail Team Rider Josh Malay who passed away in February of 2004, this annual event comprises a Pipe, Jib and Jump Jam at the Golden Peak Terrain Park. All proceeds benefit the Josh Malay Memorial Fund with free food, music and prize giveaways throughout the day.
