November 21:  Opening Day for Vail's 46th season

December 8-14: Vail Snow Daze: Kick-off the winter ski season at Vail Snow Daze, a week long event with on-mountain activities, village parties, and three huge concerts.

December 31: New Year’s Eve Extravaganza

FEBRUARY 2009
February 6-8: Honda Session: The world’s most progressive snowboard competition brings elite competitors to Vail for a weekend of rail grinds and big air.

February 22-24: CarniVail: Celebrate Mardi Gras in the mountains with three days of festivities including street parties, parades, and the World’s Highest Low Country Crawfish Boil.

MARCH 2009
March 18-22: American Ski Classic:Skiing legends, celebrities and corporateAmerica convene on the slopes of Vail for racing and entertainment.

APRIL 2009
April 1-4: Taste of Vail: The nation's premier spring food and wine festival featuring food and wine tastings, interactive seminars, and a huge mountain top picnic

April 2-5: Vail Film Festival: Vail Film Festival is a platform for independent filmmakers to screen their productions in an incredible atmosphere.

April 13-19: Spring Back to Vail: The biggest end-of-season bash in the Rocky Mountains, Spring Back to Vail is a week of fun in the sun, huge concerts, and the World Pond Skimming Championships.

April 19: Closing Day
