BEAVER CREEK TELEMARK WORKSHOP SERIES BEGINS DECEMBER 22
Beaver Creek, Colo.—Dec. 5, 2007—Grab a friend and free your heels with the Beaver Creek Telemark Workshop Series beginning Saturday, Dec. 22. First-time and expert telemark skiers can learn the basics or practice their skills in a relaxed and supportive learning environment. Instruction will be provided by the Beaver Creek Ski & Snowboard School.
Coed workshops in Beaver Creek will be offered Dec. 22, Jan. 12 and March 8. Vail Mountain’s Golden Peak will also host a coed workshop Feb. 23. - These workshops are open to men and women of all abilities, ages 17 and up. Participants will concentrate on technique andmovement analysis. Beaver Creek workshops for kids ages 6-15 featuring instruction from “Tele Ned” will be held Jan. 13 and Feb. 24 and will give kids an introduction into the tele skiing world. A “Super Sunday” women’s workshop will be held in Beaver Creek on Super Bowl Sunday, Feb. 3.
The workshops run from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Participants should meet at the Beaver Creek Nordic Center at 8:30 a.m. (with the exception of the Feb. 23 workshop to be held in Vail). Participants can rent equipment at a discounted rate from top manufactures including boots from Garmont and Scarpa and skis from K2, Fischer, Volkl, and Rossignol. Adults who need to rent equipment for the day are encouraged to arrive between 8-8:15 a.m. to allow time for proper fitting.
Price is $79 per person for the workshop lesson only. Lift ticket and lesson is available for $140 per person. Discounted telemark equipment rentals are available for participants.
Beaver Creek’s “Tele Tuesdays” will also provide skiers another chance to practice tele skiing with social ski gatherings meeting on Tuesdays throughout the winter from 10 a.m.- 1 p.m. Tele Tuesdays will begin on December 11 and guests can meet either at the Nordic center or the Coyote cafe. A discounted instruction price of $45 per person is offered for the lesson only. Discounted equipment rentals are available.
STAY OVERNIGHT FROM $115 Stay overnight at The Pines Lodge, a RockResort, from $115 now through Dec. 15 or from $175 from Dec. 16-20. Rates are based on availability and double occupancy in a lodge room. Minimum night stays may apply.
SKI FREE, STAY FREE From Jan. 6–Feb. 15, buy four nights of lodging and four days of skiing and get a fifth night and ski day free starting at $533 per person. Offers are based on availability and quad occupancy in a two-bedroom condominium. Taxes, surcharge and gratuity not included
